What has/is everyone doing for their "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue"?

Whether you decided/have decided to follow this tradition or not, why or why not?

My something old was the brooch on my fascinator.

My something new were my shoes.

My something borrowed was a bracelet from DH's cousin (who was a BM).

My something blue were my toenails! We went and got pedis the day before the wedding as my gift to the BMs and I got blue polish smile

I didn't set out looking to do it, it just turned out that I had everything already except the blue, and when I couldn't decide on a polish colour, I went with blue smile

I didn't do any of this..I am not the least bit superstitious nor do I believe in bad luck..I always like reading what other people use though lol

As a bride I skipped a number of "traditions" but kept others..

My something Old was my engagement ring (used to belong to MIL) although I told everybody it was the groom joke.

Something new was my shoes, and accessories.

Something borrowed was the pashima I used during photos. It was darn chilly in a strapless dress at the end of October!

Something blue was...well pretty much everything seeing as Cobalt blue was our primary colour. I had blue in my flowers, on my tiara. and a went with blue undies...just to be sure

I didn't do this because I couldn't think of anything for "something old" or "something borrowed".

New: I guess everything else that wasn't old, borrowed or blue!
Borrowed: I knit my boss a gold mohair shawl for her birthday one year, I borrowed it back to wear during the reception.

I don't have all these decided yet but I am planning to use a piece of my mother's wedding dress to wrap my bouquet. Her dress was a short dress with long lacy sleeves and she was TINY!!! The dress won't go past my knees I am sure... so she has agreed to cut a piece of the sleeve off for me. The other one is for my sister when she gets around to it!

Aww, that's such a sweet idea Ryansgirl! I would never fit into my mom's dress either. I wonder if she will consider something like this too... lol
